LCD TV Monitor

Who Has the Best LCD TV Monitor, Sharp, Samsung or LG?

Having an LCD TV monitor is at the top of many gadget geeks list and for good reason, why bother watching regular TV and having to pay for it when you can get it for free off of the internet. However, if you are going to do this, you will definitely want to have a monitor that will give you a good picture.

With all of the companies that are out there, it is tough to figure out who is the real deal and who is not. Some of the discount brands promise you the world, and some of them even deliver for a year or two. The difference is that they get their price somehow and it is usually in the quality of the components. They are great out of the gate, but will often falter after time.

This is why it is always better to spend a few extra dollars and get one of the better brands such as Sharp, LG or Samsung. You may pay $170 instead of $150, but you will be getting an LCD TV monitor that will last you as long as a decade, if not longer. Instead of having to reload in 2 or 3 years, you will still have the same monitor. Now all of sudden that $150 has turned into a $500 monitor over a 10 year span because you have had to replace it twice.

Sharp is name that everyone knows, but it is probably the lower ranking of the three. Most of their LCD HDTV PC monitors are fairly straight forward. This is not to say that they are not quality, but for all of the bells and whistles for the same price or just a few dollars more, LG and Samsung give you a little more to choose from.

If you are a gadget person, an LG LCD TV monitor is absolutely for you. Some of the port systems in their smaller monitors look like what you would see in a home theater system. If you can think of it, they have a way to connect it. This is something that LG actually excels at and why they are one of the more popular brands. People buy them once and stick with them for life.

Finally, we come to Samsung. Generally regarded as one of the giants of the industry, they rival just about any brand you can think of and manage to do so at significantly lower prices. While Sony may have more or less same monitor up for sale, Samsung’s will be hundreds less. At this price level, it makes a huge difference. Why pay all of that money when you can get the same thing for less?

For a high quality set, Samsung would seem to be the clear leader here. Their quality is second to none and they will often come in a price that rivals the discount brands. If you are into a lot of connections and gadgets, LG would probably be the better choice, but you are going to pay a little more money.
